A Wyoming Assignment of Trademark or Service Mark is a document used to transfer the ownership of a trademark or service mark from one person or entity to another. The Wyoming Assignment of Trademark or Service Mark must be in writing and signed by the assignor in order to be valid. The Wyoming Assignment of Trademark or Service Mark must also include the date of the assignment, a description of the trademark or service mark, and the name of the assignee. The Wyoming Assignment of Trademark or Service Mark must be filed with the Wyoming Secretary of State in order to be legally binding. There are two types of Wyoming Assignment of Trademark or Service Mark: intrastate and inter-state. Intrastate assignments are assignments of trademarks or service marks within the state of Wyoming. Inter-state assignments are assignments of trademarks or service marks outside the state of Wyoming. For both types of assignments, the assignment must be in writing and signed by the assignor. The Wyoming Secretary of State must also receive the assignment in order for it to be legally binding.
