The Texas National Medical Support Notice Part A (MSN) is a legal document used to request health insurance coverage for a child who is not currently enrolled in a health insurance plan. In this notice, the noncustodial parent is required to provide health insurance coverage for the child. The MSN provides detailed information to the insurance company, employer, or other source of health insurance coverage regarding the child's eligibility for coverage. The MSN also includes instructions on how to complete the form, as well as information on what to do if the insurance coverage is denied or terminated. There are three types of Texas National Medical Support Notice Part A: Notice of Obligation to Provide Health Insurance Coverage, Notice of Termination of Health Insurance Coverage, and Notice of Reinstatement of Health Insurance Coverage.
