The Kentucky Self-Insurers Guarantee Agreement is a contract between an employer and the Kentucky Self-Insurers Guarantee Fund (KG SIGF). The agreement states that the employer will pay for the costs associated with workers' compensation claims up to a certain amount. The employer agrees to pay the cost of any claims that exceed that amount, and the KG SIGF agrees to guarantee payment of those claims. There are two types of Kentucky Self-Insurers Guarantee Agreement: the Basic Agreement and the Enhanced Agreement. The Basic Agreement provides employers with limited protection against workers' compensation claims and does not cover claims that exceed the specified amount. The Enhanced Agreement provides employers with more comprehensive protection and covers claims that exceed the specified amount.
