Protected Form Issues (Word Documents Only)

Some legal documents are distributed as Protected (Locked) Word forms to preserve formatting and ensure field-level functionality (such as proper tabbing between fields). These cannot be edited like a regular document.

Why are Word forms protected?

  • To prevent unintentional changes to legally sensitive content.
  • To ensure form fields function as intended.

How to work with protected Word forms:

  • Use Microsoft Word or a Word-compatible editor.

eSignature not working?
