Vermont Schedule J: Your Expenses (individuals) is a tax form used by Vermont residents to report itemized deductions on their state income tax returns. It is used to report expenses such as medical expenses, taxes, mortgage interest and charitable contributions. There are two types of Vermont Schedule J: Your Expenses (individuals): Type I and Type II. Type I is used by taxpayers who are filing a single return or a joint return with a spouse and is used to report expenses related to medical care, taxes, mortgage interest, and charitable contributions. Type II is used by taxpayers filing a joint return with a non-spouse and is used to report expenses related to medical care, taxes, mortgage interest, and other miscellaneous expenses.
