Vermont Schedule I: Your Income (individuals) is a form used for filing Vermont state income tax returns. It is used for individuals who are filing a resident, nonresident, or part-year resident tax return. It is used to report all income earned from Vermont and outside of Vermont, as well as all deductions and credits available to the taxpayer. There are three types of Schedule I form: Schedule I-1, Schedule I-2, and Schedule I-3. Schedule I-1 is used for individuals who have earned income from wages, salaries, and tips, and Schedule I-2 is used for individuals who have earned income from pensions, annuities, Social Security, and other forms of retirement income. Schedule I-3 is used for individuals who have earned income from interest, dividends, capital gains, rents, royalties, and other unearned income. All three forms must be completed and submitted in order to file a Vermont state income tax return.
