The questionnaire provides an opportunity for candidates to provide detailed information about their professional and educational background, experiences, and qualifications. It also includes questions about the candidate's commitment to integrity, fairness, and judicial independence. It is divided into two sections: Part I requires the candidates to provide general information about themselves, such as their name, address, and contact information; and Part II requires the candidates to respond to specific questions about their qualifications and professional experiences. There are three types of Virginia District Court Judge Selection Questionnaires: the original questionnaire for candidates who have not applied to any other court; the supplemental questionnaire for those who have applied to other courts; and the supplemental questionnaire for those who have been appointed to district court.
