South Carolina USING MINORS IN DRUG OPERATIONS is a type of criminal activity wherein adults entice, coerce or force minors to participate in illicit drug operations. This can include minors delivering drugs, carrying drugs, or engaging in other activities related to drug distribution. In South Carolina, this is considered a serious crime that carries severe penalties if convicted. There are two types of South Carolina USING MINORS IN DRUG OPERATIONS: 1) Use of a Minor in a Drug Transaction and 2) Use of a Minor in a Drug Trafficking Operation. Use of a Minor in a Drug Transaction involves using minors to complete a drug transaction, such as delivering drugs, carrying drugs, or engaging in other activities related to drug distribution. Use of a Minor in a Drug Trafficking Operation involves using minors to help distribute drugs in a large-scale operation. Both types of offenses carry heavy penalties, including up to 20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $50,000.
