The Oregon Notice Of Closure (Permanent Total Disability Reduction) is a legal document issued by the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services (DUBS) to reduce the amount of Permanent Total Disability (LTD) benefits an injured worker is entitled to receive. The purpose of the Notice is to inform the injured worker that their LTD benefits have been reduced, and to explain the reasons for such reduction. There are two types of Oregon Notice Of Closure (Permanent Total Disability Reduction): 1) Those issued to reduce benefits when the injured worker has been released to return to work, or 2) Those issued to reduce benefits due to the worker's ability to engage in gainful employment. In either case, the Notice must include the reasons for the reduction, the amount of the reduction, and the date on which the reduction takes effect.
