Oklahoma Self-Defense is a legal doctrine that allows people to use force, up to and including deadly force, to protect themselves and others from physical harm or death. It recognizes that people have the right to defend themselves and their property, and that they should not be punished for doing so. Oklahoma Self-Defense is based on the belief that a person has the right to use reasonable force to protect themselves and their property from harm. There are two main types of Oklahoma Self-Defense: Stand Your Ground and Castle Doctrine. Stand Your Ground states that a person can use force, up to and including deadly force, to protect themselves, their family, or their property, even if they can safely retreat from the situation. The Castle Doctrine states that a person can use force, up to and including deadly force, to protect their home or vehicle from a criminal intruder. Both of these doctrines recognize that a person has the right to defend themselves and their property from harm.
