The Iowa Uniform Guidelines for Preparation of Hearing Exhibits (UGH) provide a set of standards and procedures for the preparation and presentation of evidence at hearings in the state of Iowa. The UGH includes rules for the exchange of exhibits between parties, the authentication and admissibility of exhibits, and the delivery, management, and preservation of exhibits. There are three types of UGH: the original, the revised, and the current version. The original UGH was adopted in 1997 and covers the basic rules for the preparation and presentation of evidence at hearings. The revised UGH was adopted in 2008 and includes additional rules for the exchange of exhibits and the use of documentary evidence. The current version was adopted in 2019 and further clarifies the rules for the exchange of exhibits and the use of audio-visual evidence.
