The Iowa Application For Release And Satisfaction of Judgment is a form used by a judgment creditor (the person who won a lawsuit against another) to request the court to enter a satisfaction of judgment against the judgment debtor (the person who lost the lawsuit). This form is used when the judgment creditor has been paid in full and wants the court to enter a satisfaction of judgment against the judgment debtor. The form includes sections for the judgment creditor to provide the court with the following information: the name of the court where the judgment was entered; the case number; the amount of the judgment; the date the judgment was entered; the name of the judgment debtor; and the name of the judgment creditor. There are two types of Iowa Application For Release And Satisfaction of Judgment: one for judgments entered in state court, and one for judgments entered in federal court.
