Wyoming Notice of Immediate Approval of Claim for Abatement is a document issued by the Wyoming Department of Revenue to inform taxpayers that their claim for abatement of taxes has been approved. Abatement is the act of reducing or eliminating a tax liability or penalty due to circumstances beyond the taxpayer’s control. This document is issued when a taxpayer has provided sufficient evidence to support their claim for abatement and the Department has approved the claim. There are two types of Wyoming Notice of Immediate Approval of Claim for Abatement: 1) Partial Abatement Notice and 2) Full Abatement Notice. The Partial Abatement Notice is issued when only a portion of the taxes due have been abated. The Full Abatement Notice is issued when the entirety of the taxes due have been abated.
