Washington Related Supplemental Instruction / On-the-Job Training Hours (RSI/OUT) are training hours that are approved for use in the state of Washington. RSI/OUT is designed to provide students, educators, and employers with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. This type of training is typically done on-the-job and is used to supplement traditional instruction. There are several types of RSI/OUT available. These include: Workplace Readiness Training, which provides job-specific skills and knowledge; Career Exploration, which gives students the opportunity to explore potential career paths; and Job Readiness Training, which prepares individuals with the soft skills needed to succeed in a job. Additionally, RSI/OUT can also include employer-provided training, such as apprenticeships and internships.
