Washington Related Supplemental Instruction Hours (WISH) is a program offered by the University of Washington (UW) designed to provide supplemental instruction to students on a variety of college-level topics. WISH offers free, one-on-one tutoring services to UW students in areas such as Math, Science, English, and Writing. The program also offers workshops, seminars, and other educational activities to help students succeed in their college-level courses. WISH is available to all UW students and is tailored to each individual’s needs. There are three different types of WISH: Academic Assistance, Exam Preparation, and Writing Assistance. Academic Assistance provides tutoring services for a variety of college-level courses, such as Math, Science, English, and Writing. Exam Preparation offers guidance on how to prepare for college-level exams, including review sessions and practice exams. Writing Assistance provides help with writing assignments, from brainstorming ideas to editing drafts.
