The Washington Audit Reference Card (ARC) is a document produced by the Washington State Auditor's Office that outlines the standards and requirements for conducting a financial audit in the state of Washington. It is used by auditors to ensure that audits conducted in the state meet the necessary requirements and standards. The ARC is divided into five sections: Audit Objectives, Planning, Audit Procedures, Reporting, and Standards and Regulations. It includes guidance on the many types of audit engagements, such as financial statement audits, performance audits, internal control reviews, and financial and compliance audits. It also provides information on audit risk assessment, sampling, documentation, and communication. The Washington Audit Reference Card is available in both English and Spanish versions.
