Washington Felony Firearm Offender Registration Attachment is an attachment to a criminal conviction or sentence that requires an individual to register with the Washington State Patrol as a felon in possession of a firearm. This registration requires the individual to provide information regarding their place of residence, employment, and any firearms in their possession. There are two types of Washington Felony Firearm Offender Registration Attachments: those that are permanent and those that are temporary. Permanent attachments are for individuals who have been convicted of certain felonies and are required to register for life. Temporary attachments are for individuals who have been convicted of certain misdemeanors and are required to register for a period of time, usually five to ten years.
