The Vermont CLE Makeup Plan is a program offered by the Vermont Bar Association that enables attorneys who are unable to complete all of their required Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits to make up the difference through an approved course or program. The plan is designed to help attorneys who are unable to meet the annual 12-credit requirement due to illness, travel, or other extenuating circumstances. There are two types of Vermont CLE Makeup Plans: the Full Plan and the Partial Plan. The Full Plan enables attorneys to earn all of their missing credits in a single approved course, while the Partial Plan allows attorneys to spread their missing credits over multiple approved courses. All approved courses are offered online and must be approved by the Vermont Bar Association.
