Pennsylvania Renunciation is the process of relinquishing one's inherited rights to an estate in the state of Pennsylvania. It can be used to sever any rights an heir may have to an inheritance, such as those related to real estate or assets. There are two types of Pennsylvania Renunciation: voluntary and involuntary. Voluntary renunciation occurs when an heir willfully decides to give up their rights and sign a renunciation document. Involuntary renunciation occurs when a court issues an order for an heir to renounce their rights to an estate. In both cases, the renunciation must be properly filed with the probate court to be legally recognized.
