Oregon Petition For Judicial Review (Driver and Motor Vehicle Services) is the process by which an individual may challenge a decision made by the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services (DMV) regarding driving privileges. The petition must be filed within 30 days of the decision and must include a copy of the decision from the DMV. There are two types of petitions: 1) General Petition — this petition is used to challenge a decision made by the DMV regarding driving privileges; and 2) Limited Petition — this petition is used to challenge an administrative action such as a license suspension or revocation, a financial responsibility hearing, or a denial of a driver license application. In both petitions, the petitioner must demonstrate that they have been aggrieved or injured by the DMV decision.
