Oklahoma Service of Process Instruction (USM-285) is a form used to serve legal documents in the state of Oklahoma. The form is used to initiate service of process for civil actions, which includes summonses, complaints, and subpoenas. It includes the address of the person or business to be served, along with instructions to the U.S. Marshal for the service. There are two types of Oklahoma Service of Process Instruction (USM-285): Non-Military and Military. Non-Military USM-285 is used to serve documents to individuals and businesses. Military USM-285 is used to serve documents to active-duty military personnel. Both forms require the affine to provide a detailed description of the documents being served, the name and address of the individual or business to be served, and any special instructions.
