Oklahoma Service of Process Form and Instructions (USM-285) is a form used by law enforcement officers in the state of Oklahoma to serve process (legal documents) to individuals. It is a United States Marshals Service (USES) form and includes instructions on how to properly serve process in Oklahoma. The USM-285 form is used to inform an individual of their legal rights and obligations, as well as the court proceedings that are being brought against them. The USM-285 form is also used to document the date, time, and location of service. There are three different types of Oklahoma Service of Process Form and Instructions (USM-285): 1) Personal Service, 2) Substituted Service, and 3) Service by Publication.
