The New York Certificate of Resignation of Registered Agent (Foreign LLC) is a legal document used to terminate the relationship between a foreign limited liability company (LLC) and its registered agent in New York State. This document is filed with the New York State Department of State and must include the LLC's name, the name and address of the registered agent, the date of the resignation, and the signature of a representative of the LLC. There are two types of New York Certificate of Resignation of Registered Agent (Foreign LLC): Form DTF-17.1 and Form DTF-17.2. Form DTF-17.1 is used for foreign LCS that are authorized to do business in New York, and Form DTF-17.2 is used for foreign LCS that are not authorized to do business in New York.
