New Jersey Order of Dismissal/Suppression is a legal order issued by the court that suppresses evidence in a criminal case. This can be used to prevent certain evidence from being used against a defendant in a criminal trial. There are two types of New Jersey Order of Dismissal/Suppression: voluntary and involuntary. A voluntary order is requested by the defendant and granted by the court if the evidence is deemed to be unnecessary for the case. An involuntary order is requested by the prosecutor or judge and granted by the court if the evidence is deemed inadmissible at trial. In either case, the order suppresses the evidence and prevents it from being used against the defendant.
