It is also used to acknowledge a receipt of payment, a deed, or other document. There are two types of Montana Acknowledgement — Multiple: Notarial Acknowledgement and Self-Acknowledgement. Notarial Acknowledgement requires a signature witnessed by a notary public, and Self-Acknowledgement requires the signature of all parties without the presence of a notary public. Both types of Montana Acknowledgement — Multiple must be signed in the presence of two witnesses who are not parties to the agreement.
