Minnesota Instructions — Temporary Relief with Children is a set of forms and instructions to help parents resolve disputes about child custody, parenting time, and child support without having to go to court. It includes forms and instructions for parents to use in filing for temporary relief to address urgent issues involving their children. This includes filing for temporary orders for parenting time, child support, and other issues related to the care and custody of their children. There are two types of Minnesota Instructions — Temporary Relief with Children: 1) the In-Person Temporary Relief with Children; and 2) the Remote Temporary Relief with Children. The In-Person Temporary Relief with Children requires that both parents appear in person before the court to present their case. The Remote Temporary Relief with Children allows parents to submit their documents and requests electronically, without having to appear in court.
