The Maryland Uniform Complaint and Citation (Handwritten) is a written document used by law enforcement officers in the state of Maryland to document violations of law. It is issued to an individual for a violation of the law, or to a vehicle for a traffic violation. This document includes the date and time of the violation, the location of the violation, the name and address of the violator, the description of the violation, the officer’s signature, and the fine amount. There are two types of Maryland Uniform Complaint and Citation (Handwritten): the Uniform Complaint and the Uniform Citation. The Uniform Complaint is used when the violation is more serious and the Uniform Citation is used for lesser violations.
