Kentucky Schedule J: Your Expenses (individuals) is a form used by individuals filing a Kentucky state income tax return. It is used to report the individual's expenses for the tax year, such as medical expenses, insurance premiums, and other miscellaneous expenses. This form is used to calculate a deduction for certain expenses that could reduce the tax liability. There are two types of Kentucky Schedule J: Your Expenses (individuals): Schedule J-1 for those filing a Form 740, Kentucky Individual Income Tax Return, and Schedule J-2 for those filing a Form 740-NP, Kentucky Nonresident and Part-Year Resident Individual Income Tax Return.
