The Kentucky Uniform Child Support Order and/or Wage Income Withholding Order is a court order issued by the state of Kentucky that requires a parent or other responsible party to pay child support for a minor child. This order can be issued as either a new order or an amended order and is used to ensure that the child's needs are met. The order can also include instructions for wage or income withholding, which requires the employer or other income source to deduct a certain amount from the paying parent's paycheck and to forward it to the court or the custodial parent. The order can be enforced through garnishment of wages, liens on property, or other means. There are three types of Kentucky Uniform Child Support Orders and/or Wage Income Withholding Orders: New Orders, Amended Orders, and Orders for Wage/Income Withholding.
