Indiana Residential Treatment Services Provider (RTS) and Child Placing Agency (CPA) Rates Administrative Appeal Request is an appeal process to dispute a decision or action taken by the Indiana Department of Child Services (IDs) concerning rates for Rasps and CPA's. This process is used when a provider or agency feels that IDs’s decision is inappropriate or incorrect. The appeal must be filed within 30 days of the initial determination of the rate. There are two types of Indiana Residential Treatment Services Provider (RTS) and Child Placing Agency (CPA) Rates Administrative Appeal Requests: Formal and Informal. Formal appeals must be filed in writing with IDs, while Informal appeals can be made over the phone. The appeal must include a detailed explanation of the dispute, the basis of the dispute, and any additional evidence or information to support the dispute. After the appeal is filed, IDs will review the information provided and provide a response within 30 days. If the provider or agency still disagrees with the decision, they may file an appeal with the Indiana Office of Administrative Law.
