Illinois Change of Data is a process used by the Illinois Secretary of State to update the records of a business in the state. This process is used to update the information the state has on file for a business, such as name changes, address changes, changes to business officers, and changes to the entity type. There are three types of Change of Data services available in Illinois: Change of Address, Change of Name, and Change of Officers. Change of Address is used to update the business address on file with the Illinois Secretary of State. Change of Name is used to update the name of the business on file with the Illinois Secretary of State. Change of Officers is used to update the names and/or titles of the business officers on file with the Illinois Secretary of State.
