The District of Columbia RA-5 Blanket Statement of Registered Agents Resignation is a document used by businesses that are registered to do business in the District of Columbia. The statement is used to formally resign from the position of Registered Agent for a business. This statement is signed by the Registered Agent and is submitted to the District of Columbia Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DORA). The statement is a blanket resignation, meaning that it includes all businesses for which the Registered Agent is currently registered. There are two types of RA-5 Blanket Statements of Registered Agents Resignation: RA-5A, which is used when the Registered Agent is resigning from representing all the businesses they are registered for; and RA-5B, which is used when the Registered Agent is resigning from representing a single business. The statement must be signed by the Registered Agent in order to be valid.
