The District of Columbia Application For Certificate of Amended Authority For Foreign Non-Profit Corporation is used by a foreign non-profit corporation to authorize changes to its corporate structure or its activities in the District of Columbia. The application must be filed with the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, Corporations Division and must include an amendment to the original Articles of Incorporation, a statement of the purpose of the amendment, a list of the corporation's board members, and a certificate of good standing from the foreign jurisdiction of incorporation. There are two types of District of Columbia Application For Certificate of Amended Authority For Foreign Non-Profit Corporation: Amendment and Renewal. An Amendment is used when changes are made to the corporation’s Articles of Incorporation or activities in the District of Columbia. A Renewal is used when the corporation is renewing its Certificate of Authority in the District of Columbia.
