Alaska TF-201 (Anchorage) is a type of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) navigational aid located at the Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a VOR TAC, which stands for VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range Tactical Air Navigation, and is used to help airplanes navigate and land safely. The TF-201 is composed of a transmitter and an antenna array. The transmitter sends out a series of signals and the antenna array receives the signals and uses them to provide aircraft with navigational information about altitude, air speed, and direction. The Anchorage VOR TAC is one of three Mortars in Alaska, with the others located in Fairbanks and Juneau.
