Virginia Case Management Instructions (CMI) are the guidelines and rules for court-ordered case management in the state of Virginia. They provide a framework for attorneys and court personnel to follow when handling cases. CMI provide detailed instructions on how to file motions, set hearings, schedule conferences, and more. They also provide guidance on the roles of the judge, attorneys, and court personnel, as well as the process for resolving disputes and enforcing court orders. There are four types of CMI: General Provisions, Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court, Circuit Court, and Magistrate.
