Washington Order Confirming Release of Ignition Interlock Device Restriction is an official document issued by the Washington State Department of Licensing. This document is used when a person has successfully completed the terms of an ignition interlock program and is released from the restriction of having an ignition interlock device installed in their vehicle. This document certifies that the individual is free from the restriction and can now drive a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. There are two types of Washington Order Confirming Release of Ignition Interlock Device Restriction: (1) Voluntary Release Order and (2) Court-Ordered Release Order. The Voluntary Release Order is issued when an individual has completed all the requirements of the ignition interlock program without court involvement. The Court-Ordered Release Order is issued when the court has approved the individual’s release from the ignition interlock program.
