Washington Infraction Witnesses (W.I.W.) are individuals who are experienced in the legal field and are appointed by courts to serve as witnesses in criminal and infraction proceedings in the state of Washington. They are responsible for providing a fair and impartial testimony in court proceedings, as well as collecting and preserving evidence. There are three types of W.I.W.: the Court Appointed Witness, the Court Appointed Investigator, and the Court Appointed Expert Witness. The Court Appointed Witness provides testimony and evidence in court proceedings, the Court Appointed Investigator gathers and preserves evidence, and the Court Appointed Expert Witness evaluates evidence and provides expert opinion.
