18 U.S.C. Sec. 1466A(B)(2) POSSESSION OF OBSCENE VISUAL REPRESENTATIONS OF SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILDREN prohibits the possession of any obscene visual representation of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. This includes any digital, computer-generated, or printed image, as well as any video or audio recording, that depicts a minor engaging in sexual activity. Violations of this law are punishable with fines and/or imprisonment of up to 10 years. There are two types of violations: possession with intent to distribute, and possession without the intent to distribute. Possession with intent to distribute carries a more severe punishment than possession without intent to distribute.
