Sec. 1028(D)(3) Definition of "Identification Document" is a law that defines the types of documents that are considered to be an identification document for the purposes of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1028. This law defines an identification document as one of the following: a passport, driver's license or other similar document issued by a state or federal government, a Social Security card, an alien registration card, an identification card issued by a federal, state, or local government, or a document issued by the federal government, such as a military identification card or a United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariner card. Different types of identification documents listed in 18 U.S.C. Sec. 1028(D)(3) include passports, driver's licenses, Social Security cards, alien registration cards, military identification cards, and Merchant Mariner cards.
