18 U.S.C. Sec. 1015© Use of Fraudulent Immigration Document is a federal law that prohibits individuals from knowingly using, producing, or trafficking in fake immigration documents. This law applies to any false document that is intended to be used to gain entry into the United States, or to obtain some other benefit under U.S. immigration law. Types of fraudulent immigration documents prohibited by this law include, but are not limited to: passports, visas, birth certificates, green cards, and other documents. Penalties for violating this law can include a fine, imprisonment, and/or deportation.
