14.25 DEFINITION: "TIMELY NOTICE" — LEAVE UNFORESEEABLE is a term used to describe the requirement for an employee to give notice to their employer when taking leave from work. The notice must be given in a timely manner and must be foreseen by the employer in advance. Types of timely notices include but are not limited to: vacation leave, sick leave, parental leave, jury duty, military leave, and bereavement leave. The timely notice must be given to the employer in order to allow them to adequately prepare for the employee's absence.
