The Texas Dental Support Organization Statement of Correction (SOC) is a document issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TS BDE) to allow dental support organizations (DSO's) to correct any violations of the Texas Dental Practice Act. The SOC is a written notice to the DSO that outlines the violations as well as the corrective action steps that must be taken to resolve them. The SOC is issued after the TS BDE has conducted an onsite visit to the DSO and identified violations. There are two types of SOCS: a Final SOC and an Interim SOC. A Final SOC requires the DSO to complete all corrective actions within a specified period of time, whereas an Interim SOC requires the DSO to complete all corrective actions as soon as possible. The SOC is a legally binding document and failure to comply could result in disciplinary action against the DSO.
