Tennessee Possession #1 is a type of Tennessee whiskey, which is produced in the state of Tennessee and is the only whiskey legally allowed to be labeled and sold as "Tennessee Whiskey". It is made using a traditional “Lincoln County Process”, which involves filtering the whiskey through charcoal prior to aging in oak barrels for a minimum of two years. Tennessee Possession #1 is typically aged for a minimum of four years and consists of at least 51% corn, with the remainder being rye, wheat, or malt. Popular Tennessee Possession #1 brands include Jack Daniel's, George Nickel, and Prichard's.
