A Pennsylvania Defendants Subpoena is a court order compelling a person to appear in court and testify as a witness or produce documents and/or other evidence. The subpoena can be issued by any court in Pennsylvania and is legally binding. There are two types of Pennsylvania Defendants Subpoenas: a witness subpoena and a subpoena duces tecum. A witness subpoena requires the recipient to appear in court and provide testimony. A subpoena duces tecum requires the recipient to produce relevant documents and/or other tangible evidence. Both types of subpoenas must be served on the recipient in person, and the recipient has the right to object to the subpoena.
