Oregon Authorization To Represent (OAR) is a form used in Oregon to grant another person or entity the authority to act on one’s behalf in legal matters. It is typically used when someone needs to delegate authority to someone else to handle legal matters, such as filing documents, attending court hearings, and signing documents. There are two different types of Oregon Authorization To Represent — General Authorization and Limited Authorization. General Authorization grants broad authority to the representative, while Limited Authorization grants authority for a specific purpose or task. Both types of Authorization To Represent must be signed by the principal (granting authority) and the representative (receiving authority).
