Oklahoma CJA-30 Death Penalty Proceedings: Appointment of and Authority to Pay Court-Appointed Counsel is a form issued by the Oklahoma State Courts Network (OCN) and is used for the appointment of court-appointed counsel and for the authorization of payment of attorney fees in death penalty proceedings. The form is used to provide indigent defendants with the legal assistance and representation they are entitled to under the law. There are two types of Oklahoma CJA-30 Death Penalty Proceedings: Appointment of and Authority to Pay Court-Appointed Counsel. These are: (1) Appointment of Court-Appointed Counsel and (2) Authority to Pay Court-Appointed Counsel. The Appointment of Court-Appointed Counsel section is used to appoint counsel for the indigent defendant. The Authority to Pay Court-Appointed Counsel section is used to authorize payment of attorney fees for the court-appointed counsel.
