New York Public Integrity Complaints are formal complaints regarding unethical conduct and/or violations of public trust filed by citizens with the New York State Inspector General's Office. These complaints may involve allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, corruption, or other misconduct by a public officer or employee, or a contractor or grantee of the State of New York. The types of New York Public Integrity Complaints include: Financial Misconduct, Contracting Misconduct, Conflicts of Interest, Harassment, Abuse of Authority, and Misuse of Government Resources. The complaints can be filed anonymously or with the complainant's name, and the Inspector General's Office will investigate all complaints that merit further review.
