New York Uniform Franchise Consent To Service of Process is a special form of consent that must be signed by both the franchisor and the franchisee in order to allow the franchisor to serve legal documents on the franchisee in the state of New York. This process allows the franchisor to deliver documents to the franchisee without traveling to the franchisee's location. There are two types of New York Uniform Franchise Consent To Service of Process. The first type is called a Statutory Consent To Service of Process, and it is used when the franchisee is located in New York. The second type is called a Non-Statutory Consent To Service of Process, and it is used when the franchisee is located outside of New York. Both forms must be signed by both the franchisor and the franchisee and must be filed with the New York Secretary of State.
