The New Mexico Application For Membership (In Bar Association) is an official form used by individuals seeking to be admitted to the New Mexico Bar Association. This form requires the applicant to provide personal information such as name, address, contact information, and educational background. The applicant must also provide information on previous legal employment, disciplinary history, and references. Additional information is required for applicants who are already members of another state Bar Association. The form must be signed and notarized by the applicant. Depending on the type of membership sought, additional documentation may be required. There are two types of memberships available: Active and Associate. Active members are attorneys who are licensed to practice law in the state of New Mexico. Associate members are non-attorneys, such as law students and other legal professionals, who are not qualified to practice law in the state of New Mexico. Once the application has been submitted, it is reviewed by the New Mexico Bar Association's admissions committee.
