North Dakota AFFIDAVIT of CANDIDACY (PRESIDENT & VICE PRESIDENT of THE US) is a legal document that must be completed by any individual wishing to run for the office of President and Vice President of the United States in the state of North Dakota. This document must be filed with the Secretary of State before an individual can be placed on the ballot for the election. The affidavit includes information such as the name and address of the candidate, the office for which they are running, the candidate’s political affiliation, and the name and address of the candidate’s campaign committee. Additionally, the candidate must sign and date the affidavit before it can be accepted. There are two types of North Dakota AFFIDAVIT of CANDIDACY (PRESIDENT & VICE PRESIDENT of THE US): one for candidates running as part of a political party, and one for candidates running as independents. The differences between the two documents are minor, but both versions require the same information and signature.
